Tensile Structure

Manufacture of our own yarn in-house is key to keeping control of both the mechanical and physical properties of the finished fabrics. By manufacturing our own coatings can are sure that they are free of heavy metals and know how they will react when exposed to heat and/or ultra violet lighting. Control of the yarn ensures consistency in the finished fabric, crucial when barrels and arcs are being designed, their seams, mounting points and tensions calculated.

Weaving roll widths up to 3,100 mm (Natte SV 450 and SV5 & 10%) facilitates the production of large panels with minimal use of intrusive joints. Weaving the different yarns at different densities (1, 3, 5 and 10% openness) when added to the solid but translucent dim out fabrics and the solid and opaque black out fabrics enable a wide range of lighting effects to be incorporated into the structures.
