What is Mermet Fabric?
It is woven glass fibre. Glass fibre yarn is inherently thin, stretch resistant, strong, durable and fire resistant. When coated with lead free PVC or acrylic resin sufficient to carry colour and flame retardant chemicals this substrate can be turned into fabric of various weaves and colours, retaining these same properties. |
Transparent Fabrics
Fabric woven from thin, PVC coated yarn allows precision in controlling inward light transmission and outward vision. |
Dim-Out and Black-Out Fabrics
Raw' woven glass fibre, mat coated with acrylic resin allows precision in controlling the level of inward, and outward, light transmission with vision from gentle dim-out to total black-out. |
Acoustic fabrics
Glass fibre fabric specially woven to absorb sound has been designed to reduce internal noise levels. |
Printing fabrics
Based on glass fibre, Mermet printing fabrics are inherently dimensionally stable (hang flat) and are fire resist to BS476 Pt6 Class 0 as required internally for building in public areas. |
Applications
Mermet fabrics are used in the manufacture of internal and external blinds, architectural structures, wall and ceiling covers, smoke and fire protection, furniture coverings, external fittings, signage and display banners. |
